Barb
Barb has a lot of herstory in her hometown. She has been involved in the lesbian and gay community since she moved to Victoria in 1973.
Among her accomplishments is that she was one of the organizers of the very first Pride March in Victoria.
Barb recently published a book about the theatre community: Here We Go Again, An hysterical account of Canadian Theatre’s Coming of Age
Jordan
Jordan is a transgendered man. He has worked in a number of queer service organizations and is a queer activist. Jordan’s story describes his coming out and transitioning processes.
Nicki
Nicki is a young lesbian that struggled with coming out.
Larry
Larry is a gay man in his eighties and has returned to Canada from his adventuring in the US to be closer to his children.
Ranjith/Finding Friends
Ranjith’s story comes from Sri Lanka via Toronto…Not an onmyplanet.ca production but a worthy and touching story…
An immigrant from Sri Lanka, Ranjith has been a volunteer at the Access Alliance Multicultural Health and Community Services for the past five years. He is a founding member of “Among Friends”, a three-year initiative to improve access to public services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer (LGBTQ) refugees and immigrants in Toronto.
