After Victoria – On to Salt Spring Island
Hi All,
So we (onmyplanet.ca, FLUX Media Gallery and DAISSI) are starting to gear up for the next Allies in Action event on Salt Spring Island, to be held some time in February – date to be set. Either the second or third weekend.
Riding on the success of the last three events in Victoria we’re hoping for a great turn out – maybe some of you would like to make a weekend of it? Come over from Vancouver, or from Victoria or other close bys and make Allies in Action part of a bigger adventure? We’d love to see you and we’ll feed you lunch!!
My gratitude goes out to everyone that came out to the previous events – we’ve kept notes on the things we’ve talked about and the initiatives that were started. We put a big emphasis on connection at the last event on Dec. 1st at Oaklands – we wanted everyone to come away from the event with a contact point – someone or something to reach out to. That seemed like the most important thing given recent world developments.
If you’d like to be included on the Allies in Action email list, please email me at lulu at onmyplanet.ca and let me know.
FYI: That’s different than being subscribed to the onmyplanet.ca website. There were several initiatives that should be starting soon, and a handful of people stepped up to help update the onmyplanet.ca resource list, among other things.
So look forward to that.
We’re still working on the 2SLGBTQIA+ friendly Services Providers List in Victoria – so if you know of any services or Organizations that you think should be on the list ask them to fill out the google form Here
I’d also like to send a shout out to everyone that worked with us and volunteered over the last few events:
