If you use any of the workshops over the next while, please fill in one of our feedback forms and email it to:

Gender Ally is a series of workshops based on some of the personal experience stories at onmyplanet.ca. The goal of the workshops is to build awareness and understanding of gender, sexuality and human rights issues to support trans, Two-Spirit, and gender non-conforming inclusion.
The workshops can be used on their own by community and interest groups or in a school setting, integrated with Grade 10-12 curriculum. We hope that the workshops are flexible enough to support the inexperienced and unfamiliar facilitators and simultaneously give the more experienced enough space to build their own session. There are a number of resources in the Preparing the Facilitator document to build confidence and familiarize those of all skill levels with the subject matter.
onmyplanet.ca offers orientation sessions to help you, your organization or your business, start to facilitate your own workshops. The orientations are approximately 3-4 hours and will introduce your staff and potential facilitators to accessing the online workshops and outline the learning objectives of the materials. The following PDF document is a downloadable introduction to the workshops and includes a flowchart of the website layout and a sample Facilitator’s Session Plan. Download it Here
There are three introductory documents to get you started. Each link will open a PDF file in a new window. You can read them online or download them. If printed, all documents are meant to be printed two-sided to save on paper.
Gender Ally was created through a partnership between onmyplanet.ca and Artemis Place
with the generous financial support of
a Victoria Foundation Community Grant.
First review the introductory documents. Be sure to do the Facilitator’s Self-Assessment in Preparing the Facilitator.
